AtlantiCan Growth Partners was founded on a simple belief: Atlantic Canada has the companies, sectors, and talent to compete globally.
But the reality is, that there is more opportunity than there is investment in the region - and that’s something we want to change.
AtlantiCan Growth Partners is building a long-term investment platform designed to close that gap, beginning in sectors where Atlantic Canada already has deep expertise, strong momentum, and global relevance.
Why Atlantic Canada?
Atlantic Canada has more potential than capital. For decades, the region has been underestimated within Canada’s venture and growth capital landscape. It is often viewed as smaller or less dynamic than larger markets. The reality is very different.
Atlantic Canada has globally competitive companies, export-driven industries, specialized talent and strong regional clusters. Yet Atlantic Canada continues to receive only a small share of Canada’s venture capital investment.
Over the past five years, the region has captured roughly 2% to 3% of total Canadian venture capital, while Ontario and Québec have accounted for the majority of national deployment. That capital gap creates opportunity.
